There was a whole subgenre of "right wing imitation folk music" in the early 60s to early 70s era."Dawn of Correction" and Up With People! were the most famous examples but there were a fair number. Orange County, California was the hotbed of this stuff but it was found in the South and Midwest as well.
Most of it has been sort of hidden over the years: the fact that little of it was particularly good, if any, didn't help it. But often these records would be destroyed on purpose by ideologically minded folk types, whom its very existence outraged.
