The Band I Heard In Tijuana Vols 1 & 2
10 Hits In That Happy Sound
The New Sound of Los Norte Americanos
Somerset SF-27300 & 25700
1966
This brass album that turned out to be a wacky surprise. There is lots of that 60s fun to go around, however, Volume 2 is slightly groovier.
Los Norte Americanos were studio musicians comprised of Dave Miller's 101 Strings Orchestra, different musicians played on the various Los Norte Americanos albums that were released. That top pic you have is not Volume 1, it is the fourth album they released, Volume 1 looks just like the bottom pic but without the yellow border at the bottom, and is the BEST album of them all! That silhouette of the horn players is artwork by the late Chic Laganella, he also did a cover for The Beatles.
hooray!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great one! I have this too!
ReplyDeleteActually I didn't know there were 2!
