Cha Cha Cha - Xavier Cugat
Cha Cha Cha
Xavier Cugat
Columbia CL 718
1955
Nice early Cugat. I believe the cover model to be Abbe Lane, Cugat's wife at the time.
Available as purchase/download so I won't be posting a sample.
Only in recent years have I known about Xavier Cugat's music. I have the cha cha cha album LP's that originally belonged to my mother. I was looking for the issue date and found it (1955) in the Atomic Attic. Kinda odd that some of the earlier LP's did not state side 1/A and side 2/B on the vinyl records. Recording dates and song times also not found on many LP's. Maybe the extra ink on the back of the record covers and records drove up the cost to much to include such details.
Dating albums may have been a timely distribution or reseller issue in that printing the date on albums made selling "old" stock more difficult. However, RCA and Command dated albums.
Of course a great one! I have this & love it!
