From the back cover: Now let me bring out one other point about the surprising Mr. Butler. A good many of you think of him as a country artist. He is. As I mentioned before, he's one of the most popular figures in the Nashville recording studios. But he's more than that. He's what you call an all-around musician. In July of 1968, Cash Box took its annual poll of disc jockeys around the country to find out who were the most oft-programmed artists on the air. Larry Butler was voted second in the Most Promising Up & Coming Instrumentalist category – but in the pop area, and not in the country market! (I told you he was a surprising guy!) All this proves is that the people who hear the music first, and have the unattractive task of weeding out the good from the bad, have put their stamp of approval on a pianist named Larry Butler. And it's hard to argue with the professionals. – Tom Mentee, Cash Box.
