From the back cover: Norman Roye, a naturalized American was born in Toronto, Canada on July 7th, 1927. Written in numerals that's 7/7/27. Norman says "Anyone with that many sevens in their birthdays would be a fool not to believe in numerology"... He first came to New York as accompanist for one of Canada's finest young musical comedy artists, Miss Wendy Martin. Wendy was giving through to entering the night club field and Norman felt that she had such an excellent chance of becoming one of the brighter lights in the nightclub field that he left his job at the fashionable "Gaiete" where he not only played piano and conducted, but stage the rather extensive stage presentations and followed Miss Martin into the States. Mr. Roye here shows his versatility by offering a group of melodies in a Midnight Mood... Soft, seductive music, coaxed from the electronic Wurlitzer by this magician of the organ keyboard. – Abbot Lutz
