New York, New York - Harry Geller

The Rivers

New York, New York
Composed and Conducted by Harry Geller
RCA Victor LPM-1032
1955

From Billboard - September 10, 1955: Geller, an RCA Victor musical director, composed and conducted this suite of 12 vignettes descriptive of the New York City scene. Examples would be "The Rivers," "Subway Polka," "Stature Of Liberty," etc. The music, which is pretty, conventional stuff, never lives up to the Meyer Berger prose that describes it on the cover. It just rambles and never really comes to life as did "Manhattan Tower," the big hit package of several years back. An unusual package many add some sales.
