The song that plays where it's indicated as: "Stop The War..." is actually: "Colors of Love".
ReplyDeleteThanks Timmy... but I believe the correct track is playing. Colors of Love is sung by a woman... and also excellent.
DeleteHey Mark. I have a question. Why would a work by two of the USA's finest lyricists appear on a song-poem album? The Way We Were is by Alan & Marilyn Bergman with music by Marvin Hamlish? I'm confused.
ReplyDeleteHey Andrew. Just guessing, but I think these tracks were added as filler. I've seen this on other SP albums. The session group was having fun in the studio and they had space to fill?
DeleteSeems as good a reason as any, Mr M. And having so much fun the pianist f%cked up the final arpeggio. Y'know Bob Purse? He has pages of this dreck, and the more I hear 'em, the more I get to thinking some of the less loopy-tunes writers could have scored a hit - if only they'd had proper production and decent musicians. Ah well...
DeleteHow can you say the correct song is playing? The second track you have listed here is written: "Stop The War Of People - Cathy Abston".
ReplyDeleteWhen it plays, a MAN is singing. And the lyrics contain: "Colors Of Love".
Understand? Or am I still in another universe...?
Abston wrote the song... the man is the studio vocalist...
