Waltzes, Wine And Candlelight
David Carroll And His Orchestra
Mercury Records MG 20086

From the back cover: When asked why the selections in this album were chosen over other similar tunes, David Carroll gave this answer, "We started with the basic ingredient of "Melody Of Love." Since the tune is done predominantly with violins and in the style of Wayne King, I decided to put together a set of waltzes which would create an atmosphere. The three best suited were "La Colondrina," "My Evening Star," and "Blue Hours," which was written by the waltz king himself. I rounded out the pattern by selecting two tunes not made popular by King but which have lived through the years, "Let The Rest Of The World Go By" and "Till We Meet Again."
