From the back cover: "Hawaiian Dreams," the previous album by Joe Maize and his Cordsmen, turned out to be a best-selling answer to many dreams.

So now, the amazin' Mr. Maize does it again with this newly recorded follow-up album that once more warmly evokes the special magic of a journey to the Isle Of Dreams.

The reason for that success is easy to pinpoint. Joe Maize does more than merely strum his steel guitar with consummate skill; his artistry also deftly tugs at the heartstrings of everyone who has ever been to beautiful Hawaii – or secretly hopes to get there on a special someday.

Joe and his talented group owe a good part of their command of Hawaiian music to the frequent engagements they played in the Islands. His partner, Marty O'Conlon, does the distinctive musical arranging.

Aside from that, in a large measure, they have successfully spread their reputation – and some beguiling musical propaganda for the Pearl Of The Pacific – in a number of play dates throughout the posh Vegas-Tahoe circuit.

  1. NICE version of Bali Hai! Who would have thought, by the mundane cover, it'd be so good?
