To The Tables Down At Mory's

To The Tables Down At Mory's
Songs for getting together, beer drinking and raising hell!!!
Lee Gotch's Ivy Barflies
Somerset SF-7600

I have another great cover to post today. I'm not kidding. I did not make this up. Yes, these gentlemen are drinking beer, raising hell and singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

Raising Hell? This music is so white bread it's almost barbershop quartet.

  1. Raising hell with row row row your boat? I guess when you get too drunk you have to stick with tunes you don't ever forget the words to?

  2. How much for this record, I wonder...

  3. I know, I know, commenting on old posts is not done.

Nevertheless, it seems this LP was created by the infamous DL Miller, who recorded a whole bunch on pseudo-groups and this probably one of them. But it gets weirder. Lee Gotch is listed as a one-time member of the Pied Pipers. But there is also an album credited to Lee Gotch’s Ivy Barfiles that is actually the Mills Brothers with the Count Basie Orchestra. You can stream it on Amazon.
