Howdy Folks! Welcome to The UnEarthed In The Atomic Attic album blog! Here you will find a wide variety of unusual Space Age Vinyl finds that feature good quality cover scans, jacket notes and audio samples for you to enjoy. I'm here to have fun and hope you will share in my process of discovery!
"But never the twain shall meet..." Now I know why I've never seen this album. These are not commercial recordings at all but rather Snader Telescriptions (3-minute movies made expressly for television in the first half of the 1950s) (they ripped the audio for what I am convinced is a bootleg LP). You can see (and, of course, hear) all these videos on YouTube. And no, Sassy doesn't sing with Shearing so the LP title is spurious.
Very interesting. I'm a Shearing buff but I've never seen this album before. Nice extended version of Conception. Thanks very much, Mark.

ReplyDeleteRight. This is a cheap-o budget "split" set of tunes. Thanks for the Snader Telescriptions insight! I never would have guessed! – Cheers, Mark
