The Stan Kenton Deluxe Set

Theme From "Peyton Place"
The Stan Kenton Deluxe Set
3 Records of the Very Greatest From His "Creative World"!
Capitol Records STCL 2989

Nice Kenton box set of tunes that features samples of the artist's progressive big band sound that he developed throughout his career. Many of the tunes are available from online vendors, however the sample above, one of his later efforts, seems to be out-of-print.

Enjoy!

  1. This is not the Peyton Place Theme.
Error was made at Capitol in 1968.
We hear master 53802 titled 007 (number 3) a Stan Kenton original, recorded June 4, 1965 and
released on single Capitol 5480 (mono). Flipside Peyton Place Theme.
In 1969 a revised STCL 2989 box with a black spine was released that played the stereo Peyton Place Theme.
