That old tune always sound weird to me because it's typically played on tabla, the traditional Indian drums but it has a Caribbean/Latin rhythm all arranged in a very American-ized way.
ReplyDeleteThanks GameArs. This song is an exotica staple, covered again and again. This is an odd version to be sure.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! didn't Pandit do this tune as well?
ReplyDeleteYes. Pandit and many others.
