Hits Made Ramous By Country Queens

Billy's Blues
Hits Made Famous By Country Queens
Somerset SF-19700
Manufactured by Alshire International

Faye Tucker receives credit on the disc label (only), side 1 for covering Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton on the disc label, side 2, for covering Kitty Wells. The "Tucker" side is filled out with a couple of interesting instrumentals (example above).

There seems to be some discrepancies concerning the track listing when compared to other lists found online. The track list, as it appears and plays through on the disc that I found, is as follows:

Release Me
Bill Bailey Come Home
Billy's Blues
Say
Let Me Say I Love You
Honky Tonk Angels
Letter To Heaven
Two Little Orphans
Little Blossom
I Could Never Leave You

  1. Thanks for posting the actual track listing from YOUR copy of the album. The discrepancies concerning the track listing which you mentioned was caused becase yours is a later pressing as noted by "Manufactured by Alshire International" When Al Sherman (that's Mr ALSHIRE) bought the Somerset catalog he started cheapening the line by keeping about 4 or 5 of the original songs and replacing the others with material he owned the publishing rights. So you have one of the cheapened versions. From what I have read Dave Miller was not happy since the LPs still had his name on the covers...but there wasn't much he could do...he had sold the company.
