A ping-pong album on a budget label with no credit given to an artist usually means pointless "ping-pong" effects tacked onto the lead-in to a stock music track.
However, this album features some decent space age cha cha LP. The "ping-pong" effects still tend to be lead-in effects, but they blend well and seem to have been recorded with the rest of the song. The engineering is not great.
Jose Gonzalez and His Orchestra are credited on the record label. Gonzalez may be lost to history. Or Gonzalez was possibly a made up name for a session band leader.
Wow. Haven't heard this in 40 years. The rest of the music was pretty good, too. I believe the Diplomat label was a lower-budget offering of the also low budget Design label. My dad used to buy this kind of stuff in the bargain LP bin at E.J. Korvettes department store in the early 1960s. All gone, now. I believe the track you played was the last one on the side...As a kid listening to this, I recall the way the inner band was cut didn't always trip the changer, and we had to run to the player to manually trip it.
